We invite you to apply for the District Used Truck Manager role at Truck Enterprises (Kenworth Sales Company, a 38‑location Kenworth & Isuzu truck dealership group in the Intermountain West and Mid‑Atlantic regions).

Kenworth Sales Company, 2020 Kenworth Dealer of the Year, is seeking a District Used Truck Manager to oversee used truck operations for assigned dealerships in the East region. The Manager will achieve sales objectives through planning, implementation, measurement, coaching, and management of used truck department activities.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Analyze used truck sales potential against industry trends, economic indicators, and market base; strategically align customers and sales staff to maximize market penetration, service, and sales goals.
  • Coordinate with General Managers/District Managers and the Corporate Sales Director to develop annual business plans that achieve unit sales, gross sales, gross profit, and net profit targets; compare monthly financial results to plan and recommend action to improve performance.
  • Enforce guidelines, policies, and procedures for used truck acquisition and sales.
  • Supervise inventory management, monitor aging, and ensure appropriate levels, display, and merchandising of stock trucks.
  • Oversee appraisals, trades, and purchased used trucks in line with the annual business plan.
  • Promote a positive sales culture; assist in hiring, training, retention, set sales goals, and hold the team accountable. Meet with management to review performance, prospecting, marketing strategy, profit margins, and related issues.
  • Assist sales staff in inspection & purchase of inventory, identify opportunities, and meet customers to foster strong relations. Keep the team updated on issues and strategies with regular meetings, advertising campaigns, and promotions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • English reading, writing, communication, and comprehension skills.
  • High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Excellent organization and supervisory skills.
  • Five years of commercial used truck purchasing, sales, and/or sales management experience required.
  • Strong negotiation and commercial transaction skills required.
  • Strong verbal communication skills required; must present to groups.
  • Professional personal appearance.
