Truck drivers work on a crew or out of a yard delivering equipment and materials to and from job sites as well as working on job sites. Drivers operate any or all of the following equipment: backhoe, excavator, vibratory or static plows, trenchers or directional bore machines in the installation, removal or maintenance of underground utilities and pipe installation.

• Ensure that cargo is safely delivered to its destination on schedule and that appropriate paperwork is completed.
• Assist crews by performing various labor‑intensive tasks on job sites, such as hand digging, operating, fusion (depending on qualifications), and clean‑up.
• Be a skilled worker who possesses the required knowledge, skill, and physical ability for construction and maintenance duties related to the natural gas industry.
• Perform the essential physical functions of the job and operate within short time frames as needed.
• Maintain personal characteristics suitable for making contacts with customers and the public.
• Work well with others.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures per Southeast Connections, LLC standards and the utility customer’s requirements.
• Load material or equipment for transport from the yard to the job site, secure equipment and materials at the end of each shift to ensure public safety.

• Education Preferred:
  High school diploma or GED.
• Experience
  
  Required:
  
  3 years of prior operating experience and knowledge of commercial driving regulations, with the ability to maneuver a truck.
• Required:
  
  Class A CDL, valid driver’s license with combination vehicle and air brake endorsement, a clean driving record, and a current medical card.
• Strong work ethic, willingness to work in a team environment, ability to drive long hours and travel regularly, adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather, etc.).
