Job Overview
The welder will provide daily shipboard installation and welding support for RF, audio, video, and communication systems. This position reports to the Installation Group Project Manager.

Responsibilities
- Assist with shipboard installation and integration of complex audio-visual display, communication, and electronic warfare systems onboard naval ships and command centers worldwide.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Accountabilities
- Experience working in industrial environments such as shipyards, Naval/Coast Guard bases, and government sites is required.
Job Requirements
Mandatory:
- U.S. citizenship
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
- High School diploma
- Willingness to travel up to 75% (CONUS/OCONUS)
- Extended hours including weekends and holidays
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Experience welding steel and aluminum, especially in shipyard environments
- Ability to read SIDs and ICDs for structural modifications and installations
- Willingness to perform related tasks like cable installation, priming, lagging, painting, and equipment handling
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug test
Preferred:
- Brazing copper-nickel pipe and oxy-fuel torch operation experience
- CPR and first aid training
- Confined space and climber safety training
Working Conditions
- Full-time position supporting installation teams at various industrial sites, including shipyards and military bases.
- Work may involve hazards, outdoor work, heights, welding, and working off ladders.
Physical Requirements
- Lift 45 lbs., climb ladders, operate heavy machinery, and work at heights.
- Operate power tools safely, carry equipment, and stand/walk most of the shift.
- Kneel, crawl, crouch, and evacuate ships in emergencies.
