Overview
Electrician III or Specialist - $3,000 Sign-On Bonus. Join to apply for the role at Oceaneering.
Responsibilities- Performs electrical and electromechanical repairs.
- Assists with conducting system grooms and checkouts and configuration validation.
- Prepares and installs systems alterations.
- Follow detailed repair procedures and instructions required to complete electrical production operations.
- Perform installation, repair, overhaul or modification of shipboard or in shop electrical or electromechanical systems and components.
- Perform component and/or system troubleshooting to diagnose problems.
- Assist with on-site field service for system grooms and checkouts, minor repairs and system configuration validation.
- Prepare and install equipment or system alterations in accordance with technical specifications.
- Perform shipboard work for electrical system/component evaluations.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- High School/GED with Apprenticeship Diploma and additional vocational courses or technical school graduate; and/or military and/or civilian experience with marine electrical systems in a repair department or shipyard.
- Must have the ability to obtain government base access.
- Knowledge and practical skills tests required.
- Fiber Optic Splicing, Deep Submergence Systems (SOC MCD A, B, and
C), SUBSAFE Qualification. - Fiber Optic, Cable Way Certification and Connector Fabrication experience is preferred.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret/Confidential security clearance.
- Must be a US citizen who is not a dual citizen of any other country.
- Must be willing to travel up to 75%.

- Primarily indoors during the day and occasionally at night.

- Lift 20-50 pounds.
- Work in confined spaces, kneel, jump, run, work while lying on stomach/back, crawl, and use repetitive movements of the arms and hands.

- Lift 10-25 pounds.
- Climb stairs/ladders, stand, balance, stoop, squat, reach, and lift/carry objects.
- Twist body, sit with back supported, head forward/flexed, head tilted/rotated, and work with arms extended overhead.
- Operate a motor vehicle.
- Lift up to 10 pounds.
- Wear PPE protection for body, vision, and hearing protection.
