We are currently seeking an experienced Hot Side Technician to join our fast‑growing STR Mechanical Team at First Call Mechanical in Chesapeake, VA. The ideal candidate will have a can‑do attitude, strong problem‑solving skills, and an active EPA Certification.

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial hot side kitchen equipment, including ovens, fryers, steamers, grills, warmers, kettles, and other cooking appliances
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance
• Conduct safety inspections and verify compliance with manufacturer specifications and applicable codes

• 2+ years’ experience in a commercial HVAC setting
• Strong knowledge of gas, electric, and steam‑operated cooking equipment
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and manuals
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Active EPA Certification
• OSHA 10 certification preferred
• Availability for flexible hours and on‑call shifts as needed
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills
