some saturdays will be required. Some nights will also be required in addition to regularly scheduled hours. Employees will be required to respond during severe/inclement weather events, other emergency or unusual conditions declared by director.

join our team as a customer service mechanic and get out in the field and make an impact! this field-based role keeps the city’s water system running smoothly. You’ll respond to service issues, install and repair water meters, read and record meter readings, and collaborate with crews to deliver fast, reliable service to our community. key responsibilities:

• read and record water meter readings accurately
• install, replace, and repair water meters as needed
• connect and disconnect water service for customers
• work delinquent accounts, including leaving notices and disconnecting service when necessary
• serve as the first line of response for maintenance and operations crews; investigate service line and main line leaks
• interact professionally with customers to address concerns and provide explanations
• complete work orders and maintain accurate records of services performed
• attend periodic safety meetings and training sessions
• participate in a mandatory rotation to fill vacancies on the night truck shift
