Delivery Specialist

Overview

Delivery Specialist-2 at O'Reilly Auto Parts. Responsible for maintaining and operating store vehicles to deliver parts and/or products to professional customers in a safe and efficient manner. This role also collects money on C.O.D. deliveries and handles customer returns. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use delivery fleet management hand-held devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections.
• Keep vehicles clean, maintained, and complete daily vehicle inspections prior to operating.
• Secure delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet cards, hand-held devices, and monies collected at all times.
• Pickup customer returns (new, warranty, cores) and fill out driver return slip.
• Communicate problems or special needs from customers to store management; report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage to the store manager immediately.
• Ensure fuel tank is filled and lock/secure the vehicle at end of day; clock in/out per policy.
• Assist with other duties as assigned including customer service, stocking, merchandising, and errands as business dictates; may occasionally serve as cashier or assist with merchandising when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Required:
  
  Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences; strong interpersonal communication; ability to adapt quickly to changing delivery situations; driving record meets company standards; legally required state driver’s license and driving eligibility.
• Desirable:
  Familiar with automotive parts; ability to operate other light store equipment; fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
