Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Chesham Schools | Start After Easter

This role is set to start after the Easter break, making it a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to secure a rewarding role for the upcoming term.

About the Role

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting both teachers and pupils within the classroom. You will assist with delivering lessons, leading small group sessions, and occasionally covering classes when the teacher is unavailable.

This is a great opportunity for a confident and experienced Teaching Assistant who is ready to take on additional responsibilities and help create a positive and engaging learning environment for students.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities

Leading small group learning sessions and supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis

Assisting with lesson planning and classroom preparation

Helping to monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff

Providing classroom cover when required

Supporting students with additional learning needs where necessary

Promoting a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment

Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates should have:

HLTA status or significant experience as a Teaching Assistant

Previous experience working in UK schools

Strong classroom management and communication skills

A positive, patient, and proactive approach to supporting students

The ability to work independently as well as part of a team

A genuine passion for helping students succeed
