A fantastic primary school in Chesham, Buckinghamshire is looking to expand its Learning Support Team and is recruiting Graduate Learning Support Assistants to start in September 2026.

This is a full-time, term-time-only position on a long-term contract, with opportunities for teacher training through the School Direct programme after one academic year.

  • Location: Chesham, Buckinghamshire
  • Start Date: September 2026
  • Contract: Long-term, full-time
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm (term time only)
  • Transport: Good transport links and on-site parking available
  • Progression: Training provided with pathway into teacher training
About the Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Work with pupils who have Special Educational Needs (SEN), providing one-to-one and small group support
  • Support class teachers in delivering tailored interventions
  • Contribute to the academic and emotional development of pupils across the school
  • Receive ongoing training and mentoring from experienced staff

This role is ideal for graduates seeking a career in teaching, educational psychology, or any child-focused profession.

Person Specification

  • Hold a degree (in any subject)
  • Have at least a Grade C / Grade 5 in GCSE English and Maths
