Caretaker, Cleaning Services, Maintenance Technician ​/ Mechanic

This is a part-time role, 20 hours per week (2:30pm - 6:30pm), 52 weeks per year with additional ad-hoc overtime when required. You will receive 22 days annual leave which must be taken during the school holidays. This is a physically demanding role which will require some heavy lifting / working at height.

The Caretaker will:

• Maintain the security of the school site.
• Be responsible for routine Health & Safety checks and statutory reviews (including COSHH, training provided).
• Be responsible for premises management and maintenance to ensure the site is kept clean and safe and in a good state of repair.
• Undertake emergency cleaning duties and support the cleaning staff where required.
• Assist with any movement of deliveries, furniture or anything else as required around the site.

The successful candidate will:

• Have a reasonable standard of DIY/maintenance experience
• Be able to work proactively under their own initiative
• Ideally have some experience of Health & Safety guidelines although training will be provided.
• Be adaptable, flexible and cheerful!
