OverviewA fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a long-established manufacturing business that continues to invest heavily into its sites, equipment and engineering function. This is a business where engineers are encouraged to get involved in far more than reactive maintenance, with ongoing investment projects, equipment upgrades and site improvements creating a varied and engaging engineering environment.
ResponsibilitiesThe Electrical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for electrical fault finding, planned preventative maintenance and breakdown response across a range of manufacturing equipment. Alongside day-to-day maintenance activities, engineers are actively involved in installations, continuous improvement projects and supporting the wider engineering team to drive reliability across multiple sites.
RequirementsNon-Negotiable Requirements:
- Level 3 Electrical Engineering Qualification.
- Electrical maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong electrical fault-finding experience.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Must be able to participate in the call out rota.
- Must live within a commutable distance of Aston, Cheshire due to call out requirements.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience carrying out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance.
- Strong electrical fault-finding ability on industrial manufacturing equipment.
- Experience working on motors, drives, contractors, sensors and control systems.
- PLC fault-finding experience.
- Experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Additional Requirements:
- Experience working with Siemens, Mitsubishi or Allen Bradley PLC controlled equipment.
- 17th or 18th Edition Electrical Regulations.
- Experience supporting engineering projects and continuous improvement activities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
- Willingness to support apprentices and less experienced engineers where required.
Desirable Requirements:
- Apprentice trained engineer.
- Experience with in food, FMCG, process or heavy manufacturing environments.
- Experience with electrical installations and equipment upgrades.
- Experience working within a multi-site manufacturing operation.
- Basic salary of £50,(Apply online only) - £56,(Apply online only).
- Realistic earnings of £65,(Apply online only)+ through overtime and call out.
