🔧 Are you passionate about automotive diagnostics and solving complex vehicle faults?
We're recruiting on behalf of a prestigious automotive manufacturer for an experienced Diagnostic Engineer to join their engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge vehicle technology, supporting the diagnosis, investigation and resolution of technical issues throughout the vehicle development and production lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose complex electrical, electronic and mechanical vehicle faults.
* Investigate vehicle issues using diagnostic tools and software.
* Analyse CAN/LIN communication networks and vehicle data.
* Support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
* Validate repairs and engineering changes through testing.
* Work closely with Design, Manufacturing, Quality and Test teams.
* Produce detailed technical reports and documentation.
* Support continuous improvement activities to enhance vehicle quality and reliability.
* Liaise with suppliers to resolve component-related issues.
* Ensure all work complies with automotive quality standards and procedures.
Essential Requirements
* HNC/HND or Degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or similar.
* Previous experience within an automotive manufacturing or vehicle engineering environment.
* Proven experience diagnosing complex vehicle faults.
* Experience using manufacturer diagnostic equipment and software.
* Good understanding of vehicle electrical systems, CAN Bus and vehicle communication protocols.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, technical drawings and engineering documentation.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within cross-functional teams.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
* Experience with EV or Hybrid vehicle systems.
* Knowledge of calibration, validation or vehicle testing.
* Familiarity with Vector CANoe/CANalyzer, ETAS, INCA or similar diagnostic tools.
* Experience with OBD diagnostics and ECU software updates.
* Understanding of automotive standards including IATF 16949.
Remuneration Package:
Competitive salary negotiable depending on experience
33 days holidays

Death in Service x 3 annual salary
Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday 8.15 – 16.30
Friday 8.15 – 14.30
