Job Description & How to Apply Below
Cure Talent is delighted to partner with a global pharmaceutical manufacturing business undergoing a significant site expansion programme. As part of this growth, we have a fantastic opportunity for an HSE Advisor (Projects) to join the team and play a central role in supporting one of the most important capital investment programmes the site has undertaken.
The company is mid-way through a major Low GWP Capital Expansion project, with new manufacturing lines currently under construction. This role will be embedded within the project team to provide hands-on health and safety support through design, commissioning, validation and operational readiness. It's a genuinely varied position that offers real influence and long-term career progression within a small, close-knit HSE team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HSE professional to gain meaningful project exposure within a highly regulated pharmaceutical environment, working alongside process safety, engineering, facilities and operations stakeholders at every stage of the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities:
* Support design, commissioning, validation and operational readiness activities throughout the project lifecycle
* Support hazard studies including HAZID, HAZOP, DSEAR and operability reviews, and participate in FAT/SAT activities
* Establish and maintain safe systems of work, procedures and risk assessments
* Lead and support HSE event investigations and deliver training across a range of HSE topics
* Maintain action management systems, tracking and escalating risks and issues
* Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Facilities, Operations, Commissioning and HR to ensure coordinated delivery of safety programmes
What we're looking for:
* Minimum 5 years' HSE experience within a pharmaceutical, major hazard or regulated process manufacturing environment
* Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation, with hands-on experience across risk assessment, safe systems of work, auditing and training
* Experience supporting commissioning and operational readiness activities (desirable)
* NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) and IOSH membership
* Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Science or a related discipline
* Collaborative, pragmatic and solutions-focused, with strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
This is a newly created role born directly from the site's expansion programme, meaning the successful candidate has a genuinely exciting few years ahead of them. With new manufacturing lines coming online and a full project lifecycle to navigate, you'll be at the heart of a high-profile programme in a business that is investing heavily in its future.
If you're an experienced HSE professional from a regulated manufacturing background looking for a role with real depth and variety, we'd love to hear from you
