We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join a team in Cheshire, Connecticut in a contract-to-permanent capacity. This position is suited for someone who is comfortable managing incoming payments, supporting invoicing activities, and maintaining accurate account records in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, clear communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with customers and internal partners to keep receivables current.

Responsibilities:

• Process customer payments accurately and apply cash receipts to the appropriate accounts in a timely manner.
• Prepare and issue invoices while reviewing billing details for accuracy and completeness.
• Monitor outstanding balances and follow up with commercial clients to resolve past-due accounts professionally.
• Reconcile daily cash activity and investigate discrepancies between bank records and internal account balances.
• Maintain organized accounts receivable documentation and update customer account information as needed.
• Respond to client questions related to invoices, payments, and account status with a high level of customer service.
• Partner with internal departments to address payment issues, support account resolution, and improve collection outcomes.
