Position: ECC Day Veterinary Surgeon

Do you have a passion for Emergency and Critical Care but prefer working days? This could be the role you’ve been waiting for.

This Hospital based in the North West, close to both Liverpool and Chester, is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join its experienced and supportive team, focusing on inpatient care and emergency cases within a busy ECC service.

The Role

This is a dynamic position with a medically focused caseload, giving you the opportunity to make a real difference to patients in critical need. From performing emergency procedures to coordinating care with our skilled veterinary team, you’ll play a central role in ensuring every inpatient receives the highest standard of care.

Ideal Candidate
  • Have excellent technical and clinical capability, ideally with ECC experience or a strong interest in developing this area
  • Thriving in a fast‑paced, busy environment
  • Being a team player who enjoys collaboration and communication with colleagues
  • Demonstrating empathy and strong communication skills with clients, particularly in sensitive or stressful situations
  • Being organised, open, honest, and committed to delivering exceptional care
Rota & Hours

40 hours per week
2 x 12‑hour shifts (07:00–19:00)
2 x 7‑hour shifts (07:00–13:00 or 14:00–21:00)
2:9 Weekend Rota
No overnight out‑of‑hours
