RoleLaunch your career in Geotechnical Engineering in our Cheshire, Connecticut office. You will work with a multidisciplinary team of experienced engineers, geologists, and other staff who support your growth and development.
Responsibilities- Conduct subsurface explorations and construction‑phase field inspections.
- Assist with data interpretation, analysis, technical reports, specifications, and plans for design of foundations, ground improvement, retaining walls, pavements, dams, and other geotechnical aspects.
- Perform technical analyses and calculations for deep and shallow foundations, slope stability, roadways, seismic, ground improvement, and dam rehabilitation.
- Perform construction‑phase observations and testing during earthworks and foundation preparations; prepare technical field reports.
- Support senior‑level engineers on a variety of geotechnical projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field (Master’s a plus).
- Strong interest in geotechnical engineering and desire to grow in the field.
- Basic understanding of soil mechanics, foundation design, and geotechnical testing methods.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive to and from job sites.
- Familiarity with engineering software, e.g., AutoCAD, a plus.
- Internship or co‑op experience in geotechnical, civil, or environmental engineering (a plus).
- Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification, a plus.

- Salary range: $65,000 – $75,000 (commensurate with education, experience, and location).
