Position: Pharmacy Technician 6:00 pm - 2:30 am (every 6th Weekend)

Pharmacy Technician 6:00 PM – 2:30 AM (Every 6th Weekend)

Location:

On‑site closed‑door pharmacy, Cheshire, CT.

Salary: starting at $19 per hour (dependent upon experience and license type) plus $3 a shift differential.

Schedule:

Monday‑Friday 6:00 PM – 2:30 AM; rotating weekends (every 6th weekend 12:30 PM – 9:00 PM).

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately fulfill daily medication orders under pharmacist guidance.
  • Assist in pre‑packing frequently requested medications, labeling, and storage protocols.
  • Hand‑package materials and products to meet quality standards.
  • Retrieve medications from designated storage, maintaining optimal inventory levels.
  • Apply labels and conduct product scans for accuracy.
  • Notify supervisory pharmacists of any irregularities during scanning.
  • Maintain organized workstations and replenish stock supplies.
  • Adhere to HIPAA and all regulatory compliance standards.
  • Follow safety regulations and policies, standing for extended periods as required.
  • Commit to a full‑time schedule of 40 hours per week.
  • Adhere to Clarest’s Code of Conduct, policies, and report suspected violations.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • CT Pharmacy Technician license required and in good standing.
Skills & Abilities
  • Strong problem‑solving skills.
  • Effective communicator.
  • Quick and independent learner.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, holidays, and weekends.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy law and medical terminology (a plus).
