Surgical Assistant, RN Nurse
Position: Registered Nurse, Operating Room
Cheshire Surgery Center is seeking to fill a full-time OR Registered Nurse to join our team. Our state‑of‑the‑art surgery center provides comprehensive orthopedic care for a range of ambulatory services, including hand, shoulder, knee, foot and ankle, spine, and joint surgery, as well as pain management procedures. The surgery center boasts four operating rooms, eight preoperative bays, ten postoperative bays, and private exam rooms for consultation and features cutting‑edge equipment with state‑of‑the‑art technology.
This is a Monday – Friday position with NO Weekends or Holidays. Cheshire Surgery Centers offers great benefits including:

The Operating Room RN provides expert professional nursing care for the patient during the OR course. The RN demonstrates a leadership role with continued competence in assessment, treatment, and caring for patients. The RN is dedicated to providing safe, quality care in a compassionate and efficient manner.
Position Requirements- Unencumbered active CT RN License
- Minimum of 2 years OR experience; ambulatory surgery center experience preferred, orthopedic preferred
- BLS and ACLS Certifications required
- Able to communicate effectively, and have an ability to work compatibly with all physicians and staff
- Must be able to speak, read and write English.
- Possess strong organizational skills, and a clear understanding of the importance of efficiency and cost effectiveness in an ambulatory surgery center
- Knowledge and clinical skills to perform the job duties of an OR Circulator RN
- A strong knowledge of aseptic technique, anesthetic agents and complications, and the ability to handle emergency situations
- Must have an aptitude for understanding, use of, and troubleshooting machines and equipment.
- Experience with Orthopedic procedures (specifically total joints) a plus
- Ability to scrub cases a plus
