Overview

Are you an Advanced Practitioner in Dermatology seeking a fulfilling role within a supportive and dynamic environment? My client, based in Cheshire, is looking for a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join their esteemed team. This role promises professional growth and the chance to be part of a practice that prioritises both patient and client care.

You will be welcomed into a friendly and enthusiastic team of Referral Vets, Night Vets, and experienced RVNs. The dermatology caseload is busy and varied, requiring a practitioner who can manage referral cases independently. You will be working in a state-of-the-art, multi-disciplinary hospital, providing top-tier care to patients and collaborating closely with other referral teams, particularly in soft tissue surgery and medicine.

A dedicated Referrals Coordinator supports the team to enable you to deliver the best care possible.

This full-time role typically involves working from 8.45am to 6.45pm, with flexibility for part-time hours for the right candidate. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team are essential.

The practice features modern, well-equipped premises, including a veterinary hospital with a laboratory, highly equipped operating theatres, endoscopy, and 24/7 hospitalisation. The facility is equipped with a CT scanner, video otoscopy, blue light therapy, and a dedicated microscope and consulting room for dermatology.

Responsibilities
  • Handle dermatology referral cases independently in a busy, varied caseload.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including soft tissue surgery and medicine.
  • Deliver high-quality patient care within a state-of-the-art, multi-disciplinary hospital.
  • Work with a dedicated Referrals Coordinator to ensure efficient case management and excellent client communication.
Qualifications
  • Advanced Practitioner in Dermatology or Veterinary Surgeon qualifications as applicable.

  • Salary £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
  • 6.6 weeks of paid holiday (including bank holidays).
  • £1,750 CPD allowance.
  • Health Shield contributions, paid RCVS membership and two other subscriptions, VDS cover, and enhanced family leave.
  • Discounted veterinary fees, shopping and entertainment discounts, Cycle to Work scheme, company sick pay.
  • Regular colleague engagement surveys, annual pay reviews, and opportunities for progression.
