Insulation and Weatherization Lead

F.F. Hitchcock Company is hiring a skilled, experienced full-time Insulation and Weatherization Lead to guide dynamic projects from beginning to end. Based in Cheshire, CT, you'll install insulation in customers' attics and crawlspaces and ensure their homes stay comfortable year-round. We will cover EPA Lead-Safe RRP certification and sponsor BPI licensing. We'll also provide our Insulation and Weatherization Lead with a gas card, continuing education opportunities, and a steady stream of jobs, so you can focus on completing hands-on work rather than chasing down leads.

Our ideal Insulation and Weatherization Lead is experienced with running a two-person crew (or larger) and working with spray foam or blower doors. Familiarity with CT utility weatherization programs and documentation requirements would be a bonus! At a base, you'll need:

• Professional insulation or weatherization experience, including attic work, dense-pack, and air sealing
• Valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and the ability to travel throughout central CT and Greater New Haven County
• Comfort with wearing a respirator while working in attics and crawlspaces in all seasons/temperatures
• EPA Lead-Safe RRP and BPI Building Analyst certifications or willingness to obtain - we will help cover these!

Our Insulation and Weatherization Lead is in charge of a two-person crew, making sure all aspects of our projects go off without a hitch. You'll take ownership from start to finish, directing your team in accurately installing attic and wall insulation, dense-pack, air sealing, knee walls, ventilation, and more. Attention to detail is key, as you'll be responsible for accurately setting up jobs, running the machine, and hitting the exact sold density and R-value.

As you run jobs, you'll train the support technician on the best work practices and customer service standards. You'll professionally engage with clients, openly communicate throughout the job, and maintain job documents and photos.
