Production Operative

Kaminsky Consulting is recruiting a Production Operative for a well‑established manufacturing business located in the Birtley area of Chester‑le‑Street. The role involves operating manufacturing machinery and manually packing products, with full training provided for the specific equipment.

• Pay rate of £12.21 ph with overtime paid at a premium.
• Hours of work:
  Monday – Friday (early finish Friday). 6 AM – 2 PM for Monday‑Thursday, 6 AM – 1 PM on Friday.
• 39 hours per week.
• Overtime paid at 1.5× and 2×.
• Location:
  
  Birtley.
• Full training and development, including FLT licence.
• Potential for temporary‑to‑perm placement with a well‑established PLC manufacturer.

• Manual handling and use of mechanical lifting aids.
• Operating production machinery.
• Hand blending.
• Cleaning moulds.
• Preparing product mixes.
• Manual packing and movement of heavy products.
• Maintaining 5S housekeeping.
• Working in accordance with local Health & Safety standards.

• Preferably experience in a production environment.
• Ability to operate production machinery and lift heavy materials.
• A Forklift Truck licence is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
