Role:
Mechanical Maintenance Fitter / Mechanical Fitter
Salary: £48,000 to £49,000 per annum + paid overtime + benefits and opportunities to progress up through their salary grades and receive enhancements

Hours:

2 weeks of Days (6am to 5.30am) then 2 weeks of Nights (6pm to 5.30am), on a continental shift pattern (working 7 out of every 14 days)

Location:

Commutable from Durham, Darlington, Stockton on Tees, Middlesbrough, Hartlepool, Sunderland and surrounding areas

We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to work within a manufacturing company at one of their leading automated factories. Responsibilities
Mechanical Maintenance Fitter, working 2 weeks of Days (6am to 5.30pm) then 2 weeks of Nights (6pm to 5.30am), on a continental shift pattern (working 7 out of every 14 days).

Your role will include:
 
* Planned Preventative Maintenance across a range of equipment and machinery.
 
* Dealing with machinery breakdowns and problems, fault finding, diagnostics and repairs.
 
* Assisting with planned shut-downs and project work, refurbishing machines and replacing worn parts.
 
* Assist being hands on in other areas of the factory when needed
Requirements
 
* Completed a recognised Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or hold Mechanical Engineering qualifications
 
* Experience in a similar environment;
Industrial, Production or Manufacturing environments - most considered
 
* Maintenance experience; dealing with machinery and equipment problems and breakdowns and/or completing preventative maintenance of plant/industrial machinery
 
* Any experience of SOME of the following;
Belts, Chains, Gear Boxes, Pumps, Bearings, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Welding and Fabricating etc
 
* Motivated and driven to succeed
 
* Willing to take on and complete further training as part of your growth and development in the factory and company
