Retail Security Officer

Location: Tesco Chester-le-Street, DH3 3TF

Pay Rate: £13.47 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
Contract: Full-Time Permanent

Kingdom Group is looking for a professional, reliable, and customer-focused Retail Security Officer to join our team at Tesco Chester-le-Street, DH3 3TF
.

We are seeking an experienced Security Officer to provide a highly visible security presence within the store, helping to maintain a safe and secure environment for customers, colleagues, and visitors. Due to the location and operational requirements of the role,
own transport is required
.

You will work 40 hours per week on a rota covering:

• Wednesday
• Thursday
• Friday
• Saturday
• Sunday

Shift Times:

• 06:00 to 15:00 or
• 16:00 to 24:00

Working 5 to 6 days per week as required by the business.

Flexibility may be required to meet operational needs.

• Provide a professional and highly visible security presence within the store.
• Deter theft, anti-social behaviour, and other security-related incidents.
• Conduct regular patrols of the store and surrounding areas.
• Respond to incidents calmly and professionally in line with company procedures.
• Monitor CCTV systems where applicable.
• Deliver excellent customer service to customers and colleagues.
• Complete accurate incident reports and relevant documentation.
• Support store management with loss prevention initiatives.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment at all times.
• Work closely with store management and colleagues to support operational requirements.

A valid SIA Licence is essential.

• Previous retail security experience is preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Professional, confident, and reliable approach.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent timekeeping and attendance record.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Own transport is required.
