Overview

MEDS operates a renowned network of emergency physicians and APP peers across both rural and urban communities in the Midwest. As a physician‑owned practice founded in 1983, MEDS offers the care standards found in larger health systems while maintaining the personalized service of private practice. Our physicians continue to practice in hospital emergency departments and hospitalist roles in addition to serving in leadership roles.

With a focus on expanding access and raising quality standards, MEDS providers leverage their expertise to provide compassionate, patient‑centered emergency care to both rural and metro populations.

• Provide primary and emergency care at Chester Memorial Hospital 24/7.
• Work closely with hospital staff and administrators to collaboratively solve challenges.
• Respond to onsite lab services, CT, US, and radiology as needed.

• ABEM certified physicians or Family Medicine/Internal Medicine board certified physicians with demonstrated EM experience.
• BC/BE in EM, IM, or FM.
• ACLS and PALS required.
• Minimum 24‑hour on‑site lab services and critical access hospital experience.

• 25‑bed Critical Access Hospital with an annual volume of 6,000 patients.
• 7‑bed ED, 24 or 36‑hour shifts, 24‑hour onsite lab services, CT, US, radiology.
• Medical liability coverage with tail provided.
