Children Youth And Services Program Certified Recovery Specialist

In collaboration with local Children & Youth Services (CYS), MVP Recovery is expanding our efforts to provide targeted support to families involved in the child welfare system due to substance use. This CRS position will focus on engaging parents who are navigating CYS involvement, supporting their recovery goals while helping maintain family stability and improve reunification outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Acting as a peer recovery support for parents with active CYS involvement.
• Assisting with linkage to treatment, housing, parenting programs, and other recovery resources.
• Attending CYS or case management meetings as a recovery advocate when appropriate.
• Providing strengths-based support and accountability to help clients meet case goals.
• Maintaining communication with caseworkers and treatment teams while protecting client confidentiality.
• Empowering clients through education about recovery, relapse prevention, and reunification pathways.

Required qualifications include:

• Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) credential in Pennsylvania.
• Familiarity with CYS, family systems, or prior lived experience navigating child welfare preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with systems.
• Trauma-informed and culturally responsive approach.
• Dependable, flexible, and mission-driven.
