Accounts Payable Team Leader

Accounts Payable Team Leader – 6 Month FTC South Leicester | £40,000–£42,000 | 6 Month FTC | Office Based I’m recruiting for an experienced Accounts Payable Team Leader to join a large, well-established business in South Leicester on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract . This is a busy, high-volume AP environment and they need someone who can lead from the front, manage competing priorities and support a team through demanding periods.

There is also the potential for a permanent opportunity for a strong performer .

The role:

Leading and supporting a busy Accounts Payable team Managing team workloads, priorities and performance Coaching and developing team members Overseeing high-volume invoice processing and supplier payments Managing reconciliations and complex supplier queries Reviewing payment runs and ensuring key deadlines are met Monitoring KPIs, SLAs and overall team performance Supporting month-end reconciliations and reporting Managing relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers Acting as an escalation point for more complex AP issues Supporting process improvements, automation and changes to ways of working Getting hands-on with the team during particularly busy periods The team supports a broad range of property-related supplier costs, so previous exposure to areas such as rent, rates, utilities, service charges, property or facilities expenditure would be beneficial, but it is not essential .
