Key responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the direct tax cycle across a portfolio of EMEA markets, working with local finance teams and external advisers.
- Oversee the preparation, review and submission of corporate income tax returns and related compliance requirements.
- Manage relationships with external tax advisers, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of tax compliance and advisory work.
- Prepare and review US GAAP current and deferred tax provisions, including quarterly tax reporting.
- Work with Tax Stream and other tax technology to support accurate and efficient tax reporting.
- Support the business with transfer pricing matters and related compliance requirements.
- Support the organisation's approach to Pillar Two / global minimum tax requirements and their impact across EMEA.
- Manage key UK tax governance requirements, including Senior Accounting Officer (SAO), Tax Strategy publication and Corporate Criminal Offence (CCO) requirements.
- Review and sign off tax compliance deliverables, ensuring appropriate levels of accuracy, control and governance.
- Provide practical tax advice to finance and business stakeholders, translating technical tax matters into clear and actionable guidance.
- Build strong working relationships with local finance teams, senior stakeholders and external advisers across multiple jurisdictions.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and regulatory developments across your markets, assess their potential impact and communicate key developments to relevant stakeholders.
- Fluent English. Additional European language skills would be advantageous but are not essential
- Experience in European / international corporate tax, ideally gained within a multinational corporate environment or international professional services firm.
- A recognised professional qualification such as CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of corporate tax compliance and an understanding of tax accounting and reporting.
