Reed is delighted to be partnering with the Greater London Authority (GLA) to recruit a proactive and service-focused Facilities and Front Desk Coordinator, based at City Hall. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a central role in the day-to-day running of an iconic public building, providing an excellent service to both internal stakeholders and visitors alike. As a key member of the Reception and Facilities team, you will act as the first point of contact for City Hall, ensuring a welcoming, professional, and well-presented environment at all times.

This is a varied and hands-on role, combining front-of-house duties with facilities coordination and helpdesk support. Duration : 3-months contract with possibility of further extensions Pay : £16.68 per hour via PAYE or £21.54 per hour via Umbrella Location :
Canning Town or Southwark Office (5 days a week in the office - 08.30 – 17.00 or 09.30 – 18.00) Key responsibilities will include:
Managing the reception desk, greeting visitors and ensuring a professional front-of-house experience Operating the public switchboard and directing calls appropriately Responding to facilities-related enquiries and resolving issues for staff Supporting the use and ongoing improvement of internal knowledge resources for self-service Logging, triaging and managing faults through the FM Helpdesk, liaising with specialist contractors where required Monitoring and progressing outstanding jobs through the CAFM system Carrying out regular inspections of office, meeting and event spaces, ensuring they are safe, functional and well-maintained Assisting with meeting room and event space set-ups, including producing reports for contractors Ensuring meeting rooms are appropriately signed, set up and that audio-visual equipment is fully operational Maintaining clear communication across the building, including signage for any service disruptions Delivering site inductions for new starters, introducing them to facilities and services Providing support during building incidents when required
