The project is a new build 64‑bed care home. You will be the Site Manager responsible for day‑to‑day running of the project, with a potential pathway to a progress‑management career within the construction industry.

• Work under direct supervision of the project/contracts manager.
• Ensure specifications and standards are met and maintained, keeping the site safe, clean and productive.
• Maintain accurate records for each trade.
• Ensure QA procedures are complied with for every element of work.
• Provide detailed diary updates to the site manager of daily operations.
• Supervise sub‑contractors on site.
• Assist in effective health and safety management on the project.
• Assist in delivering schemes within set time parameters.
• Assist in achieving customer satisfaction through effective handover.
• Assist in maintaining the site image.
• Manage contractors daily, ensuring they carry out duties in accordance with policies and procedures.

• Assist in effective health and safety management on live projects.
• Enforce health and safety within and around the scheme.
• Be knowledgeable of safety provisions around the project.
• Attend health and safety reviews (external audits and sub‑contractors).
• Deliver quality projects within set time parameters.
• Attend weekly progress review & coordination meetings with contractors (meeting lead by Site Manager).
• Manage and control labour resources to maximise productivity.
• Ensure efficient continuous snagging procedure is in place.
• Control work activities daily, administer appropriate actions as required.
• Provide relevant information to the site manager to allow cause and effect to be updated weekly.
