The Role The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the commercial aspects of multiple cladding and faade projects, ensuring costs are controlled, contractual obligations are met, and project profitability is maximised. Working closely with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, you will be responsible for the financial performance of projects from pre-construction through to final account.
Key Responsibilities Managing project costs and budgets throughout the project lifecycle. Preparing valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts. Reviewing and administering contracts and subcontract agreements. Procuring subcontractors and suppliers and negotiating commercial terms. Identifying, valuing, and managing variations. Monitoring project cash flow and financial performance. Producing cost reports and forecasts for senior management. Assessing and managing project risks and opportunities.
Ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and company procedures. Supporting project delivery teams with commercial advice and guidance. Requirements Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry. Experience working on cladding, faade, roofing, curtain walling, or external envelope projects is highly desirable. Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial management. Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and work to deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and commercial management software. Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline.
