Overview
Civils Site Manager / Site Agent – Cheshire & North Wales. Permanent or Contract. Salary/Rate:
Competitive (DOE).
Our client is a well-established civil engineering sub-contractor with a strong market reputation. Due to an increase in contracts, they are expanding their management teams. We are seeking an experienced Civils Site Manager / Site Agent to deliver a range of civil engineering projects across Cheshire and North Wales. The successful candidate will have a strong background in reinforced concrete structures, retaining walls, and general civil engineering works, with the ability to manage projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Responsibilities- Manage the day-to-day operations on site.
- Plan, coordinate and supervise subcontractors and direct labour.
- Deliver projects safely, on programme, within budget, and to specification.
- Oversee reinforced concrete works, retaining walls, drainage, foundations, and associated civils.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate site records, progress reports, and quality documentation.
- Liaise with clients, engineers, suppliers, and the project management team.
- Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and regular safety inspections.
- SMSTS
- CSCS (Manager Card)
- First Aid at Work
- Proven experience as a Site Manager or Site Agent within civil engineering.
- Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete structures, retaining walls, and general civils.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Temporary Works Coordinator/Supervisor.
- NRSWA Supervisor.
- Experience working with NEC contracts.
- SSSTS (additional qualification).
- CAT & Genny training.
