About the Role

We relooking for an Editorial Administrator in the Chester office to work as part of the Adis Rapid+ Journal Publishing team, whoa reresponsible for publishing a portfolio of clinical journals. The successful candidate will be providing crucial scientific administrative support to the publishing teamin order toensure the successful andtimelyonline publication of journals published by Adis Rapid+.

Chester is themainofficelocationthough there may beopportunityto work partly from the Manchester office.

Responsibilities
  • Provide scientific administrative support to Adis Rapid+ journalteam and help to manage the publication process of journal articles.
  • Coordinate projects with internal departments and external authors/clients and managearticle workflowin a timely manner.
  • Coordinatepeer review process for articlessubmittedto the journals by researching andallocatingappropriate peerreviewers for manuscripts (in terms ofexpertiseand availability).
  • Assistauthors with all stages of the publication process ensuring all key requirements in the journal guidelines are adhered to.
  • Assist Editors with journal development taskssuch as Editorial and Advisory board development and email campaigns.
  • Assist with business development activities, such as liaison with pharmaceutical and medical communications customers, responding to journal portfolio enquiries, andmaintainingthe client contact and other relevant databases.
  • Coordinate invoicing and financial support for articles published in the journals.
  • Work closely as part of a dynamic and innovative team to improve workflows and processes in order toprovide novel publishing solutions and a quality service to authors/clients.
  • Ensure growth of the journal portfolio by playing an integral part in the development ofallocatedtherapeutic area/s and using creative and innovative ideas to support revenue growth
  • Engage and expand Editorial and Advisory boards
  • Management of ad-hoc journal-related projects, asadvisedby Senior Editorial team.
Experience,

Skills & Qualifications

  • BSc or equivalent, ideally in a scientific discipline
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritise effectively and meet strict deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Exceptionalattention to detail
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • High levelof computer literacy

Desirable

  • Ability to proactively and calmlyidentifyand address problems quickly
  • Adaptable to change and willing to take onnew and different responsibilities as they arise
  • Keen interest in scientific publishing
