Overview
A fantastic opportunity has arisen in our fast-growing award-winning interior design practice based in Chester for a junior interior designer to work within our expanding team, developing and delivering high end commercial projects throughout the UK.
The successful applicant will work within the design team to produce and implement designs for projects throughout the UK.
Responsibilities- Creating high quality design output, ensuring all work is to the highest quality, taking guidance from senior members of the team.
- Supporting senior members of the team with non-client facing work.
- Carrying out work in a positive and professional manner.
- Dealing with specification and budgets for bespoke packages including cabinetry, furniture, upholstery, lighting, flooring and window treatments etc.
- Creating new ideas and concepts and remaining up to date with industry trends and specifications.
- Flexibility to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Supporting operations of the office including admin, housekeeping and telephone duties.
- This role is office based with a requirement to attend site as and when required, which will include overnight stays during fit-out.
- Strong communication skills – verbal, written and presentation.
- Interior Design Degree with post grad experience within the Commercial Interior Design environment.
- Capable of using all design software including Autodesk AutoCAD (proficient) & Adobe Photoshop as well as the Microsoft Office suite of apps. Some experience of Revit is also preferred.
- Good communication skills with the ability to collaborate with all personnel across the team.
- Full UK Driving Licence as travel nationwide to project sites is required.

- Holidays: 30 days including Bank Holidays

- Contract length: 12 months with view to possible extension, 40hrs/week
