Design Manager

DESIGN MANAGER - DRYWALL & CEILINGS - SHOREDITCH A fantastics opportunity to join a real people orientated business who are looking for a Design Manager to join their team. Based in East London, the Design Manager will be working in a team of 3 on drywall and ceiling projects alongside top tier main contractors. Key responsibilities Day-to-day management of the project CAD requirements, including the production of working layouts, sections, elevations, and details.

Setting up of design office standards and user technologies, interfacing with CAD libraries and menu groups. Enabling construction solutions through product selection. Enabling auto scheduling functions for manufacturing and order processing. Supply technical support for all CAD software. Skills and requirements Excellent knowledge and skills using AutoCAD Knowledge of BG drywall systems and current Building Safety Act legislative requirements. The ability to provide CAD/BIM/3D drawings and designs, for partitioning projects.

Strong technical ability, and knowledge of dry lining, partitioning, and suspended ceiling systems. Confidence in leading the project design. Skilled in the preparation of reports, designs, contracts, and specification documents. The ability to review technical designs, to ensure projects are kept on programme. An organised and tidy approach to work, and able to adapt to the construction programme.
