We offer a wide range of flexible supply roles, long-term placements and part-time opportunities, making this ideal for candidates looking for adaptable working patterns that fit around study, childcare, or other commitments.

What you'll be doing

  • Providing 1:1 support or small-group intervention to reinforce learning and build essential skills.
  • Using positive behaviour strategies to help create a calm, supportive learning environment.
  • Assisting with the organisation of classroom resources, displays and day-to-day routines.
  • Promoting the inclusion of all pupils, including those needing additional academic or emotional support.
  • Ensuring safeguarding standards are upheld and putting pupil wellbeing at the centre of everything you do.

What we're looking for

  • Experience supporting children or young people is beneficial - but we also welcome candidates from care, youth work, coaching, mentoring or support-based roles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with pupils and staff.
  • A friendly, patient and proactive approach to learning support.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team while showing initiative when needed.
  • A genuine interest in education and helping children thrive academically and socially.
  • An Enhanced DBS is required (or willingness to obtain one).

  • A wide variety of opportunities across Chester primary and secondary schools, including Hoole, Upton, Boughton, Vicars Cross, Handbridge and beyond.
  • Flexible working options tailored to your lifestyle and weekly availability.
  • Supportive, knowledgeable consultants who understand school environments and prioritise your wellbeing.
  • Weekly pay with competitive rates.
  • A great pathway into teaching, educational psychology, SEN support or wider child-focused careers.
  • The chance to build diverse classroom experience across a range of settings.
