Teacher Active is currently looking for enthusiastic and reliable Nursery Assistants to provide lunch cover in a welcoming nursery in Chester.

We work closely with our nurseries to build strong, lasting relationships — which means we can offer supportive placements where you’ll feel valued and part of the team from day one.

What You’ll Be Doing

As part of the lunch cover team, you’ll play an important role in:

Supporting children during mealtimes

Encouraging positive social interaction and good table manners

Ensuring a safe, calm, and caring environment

Supervising play and helping children transition smoothly back into activities

Working collaboratively with nursery staff to maintain safeguarding standards

Even though it’s a shorter shift, your impact on the children’s day will be huge.

We’d Love to Hear From You If You:

Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years (preferred but not essential)

Have experience working with children, ideally within an Early Years setting

Have a calm, patient, and caring nature

Communicate clearly and confidently

Have a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
