Role Overview
Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be working with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Chester to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children's learning and development in a primary setting.
The role is a part-time position working afternoons only from 12:00pm to 3:30pm in a large reception class. You will work alongside the class teacher, helping with the routines of pupils during the afternoon, encouraging engagement during lessons and offering positive support to individual pupils.
The school is looking for someone with proven experience working within Early Years and who can commit to a long-term role throughout the academic year.
Responsibilities- Support pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
- Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management.
- Help create a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment.
- Support pupils with additional learning needs where required.
- Proof of Right to Work (e.g. passport or birth certificate).
- A CV covering 10 years of education or employment.
- A fully enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to process one with us (cost refunded).
