We are looking for a committed and compassionate Primary 1:1 SEN Tutor to support a primary-aged learner in the CH4 area of Chester. This role is ideal for a tutor who is passionate about helping children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.
You will provide personalised, one-to-one tuition tailored to the student's academic, social, and emotional needs, creating a positive and engaging learning experience.
- Deliver individualised tuition in line with the student's learning needs and abilities.
- Support progress in core primary subjects, including English and Maths.
- Adapt teaching strategies and resources to accommodate SEN requirements.
- Build the student's confidence, independence, and engagement with learning.
- Monitor progress and maintain accurate session records.
- Liaise with parents, carers, and relevant professionals where appropriate.
- Experience working with primary-aged children.
- Experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs.
- Strong understanding of the primary curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
- Right to work in the UK.
Experience supporting learners with one or more of the following:
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- ADHD
- Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
- SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs)
- Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
- Anxiety-based school avoidance
- Flexible working hours

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
