Are you passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs to thrive and achieve their full potential? We are looking for a caring, motivated, and adaptable SEN Teaching Assistant to join our school community and help our pupils succeed both academically and personally.

Hours:

37.5 hours per week (8:30am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday) Term - time only (39 weeks)

Contract:

Full-time As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with additional needs, including autism, to access learning, build confidence, and develop independence.

Responsibilities
  • Support pupils during lessons to help them engage, understand, and succeed
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering tailored learning activities
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
  • Help monitor and record pupil progress
  • Promote social and emotional development
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

Essential Qualifications
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or willingness to work towards)
  • Understanding of SEN and inclusive practices
  • Ability to support progress against EHCP targets
  • Confident IT skills
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience working in a school or SEN environment
  • Knowledge of speech and language or other specialist areas
