MBChB Student Engagement and Support Coordinator

Chester Medical School are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join the team as a Student Engagement and Support Coordinator; to lead the delivery of student engagement, wellbeing, support, and student voice activities across our MBChB programme. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the student experience within a growing Medical School.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Operational Delivery, you will lead a team of Student Engagement and Support Officers and oversee a wide range of activities that support student success, engagement, wellbeing, and progression. This includes induction activities, attendance monitoring, pastoral support processes, student voice initiatives and managing referrals to specialist support services.

You will work closely with academic, clinical and professional service colleagues across the school and wider faculty to develop and implement initiatives that enhance the student experience. You will also use data and insight to identify trends, monitor engagement, inform decision-making, and drive continuous improvement

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team of Student Engagement and Support Officers.
  • Coordinate student engagement, support, wellbeing, and student voice activities.
  • Monitor student attendance, engagement, welfare, professionalism, and fitness to practise concerns.
  • Manage and analyse student experience data and identify trends.
  • Work collaboratively with Student Services, Chester Students' Union, Careers and Employability teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and improve processes, systems, and projects that enhance the student experience.
  • Support committees, working groups, and strategic initiatives across the School and University.
  • Deputise for the Head of Operational Delivery when required.
About You

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills. They will have experience of managing teams, delivering projects, interpreting data, and building strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
