Prospero Teaching are seeking a supportive Functional Skills Maths Tutor to deliver 1:1 tuition to a learner in Chester.
The ideal candidate will be confident breaking down mathematical concepts and creating practical, accessible sessions for learners who may have gaps in their education.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver personalised Functional Skills Maths sessions
- Focus tuition around individual targets
- Strengthen core numeracy skills
- Adapt explanations and activities to learner ability
- Help develop confidence with Maths
- Encourage independent learning
- Monitor and report on progress
- Previous Maths teaching or tutoring experience
- Functional Skills experience desirable
- Strong numeracy and communication skills
- Experience supporting learners with varied abilities
- Patient and encouraging teaching style
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
- Right to Work in the UK
- Two professional child-related references
