Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting an experienced Secondary English Tutor to provide 1:1 tuition to a learner in Chester.
The successful tutor will be able to create engaging English sessions, adapt learning to the learner's needs and help develop both subject knowledge and confidence.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver individualised English tuition
- Support reading, writing and comprehension
- Develop literacy and communication skills
- Plan lessons around learner ability and targets
- Adapt resources and teaching approaches
- Encourage engagement and independent learning
- Monitor academic progress
- Strong English subject knowledge
- Previous teaching or tutoring experience
- Experience working with secondary-aged learners
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to adapt lessons to different learning needs
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
- Right to Work in the UK
- Two professional child-related references
