The CompanyAn excellent opportunity has arisen with one of the UK's leading manufacturers, specialising in the FMCG sector. The company have been established for over 50 years and is therefore extremely well established, supplying a variety of end users. Due to continued growth in their market share they are looking to recruit an engineer to add to the strong engineering team.
Key Skills- Apprentice Trained Electrical Engineer
- Experience of PLC Systems & Automated Machinery
- Understanding of PPM systems within FMCG Manufacturing
The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day engineering and maintenance activities ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards and maximizing machine efficiencies. The successful candidate will come from an electrical engineering background and should be able to work on their own initiative, be a time served engineer with either bias (but multi-skilled) and have fast moving manufacturing experience.
On a day to day basis, you will.
- Work closely with the production team to ensure that machinery downtime is kept to a minimum and that all preventative maintenance is conducted in advance to avoid production disruption.
- Work collaboratively within the engineering team, providing support in investigating means of improving plant productivity and investigating and establishing causes for all breakdowns and damages.
- Action any repairs and ensure that all measures taken are recorded so recurrent faults can be recognised and you will be involved in electrical and mechanical proactive and re-active maintenance.
- Ensure that all necessary spare parts, materials, and equipment are available

- Be involved in both electrical and mechanical reactive and pro-active maintenance
- Be proactive in ensuring good health and safety on site
