Specialist Tax Advisor Chester Up to £55,000

Butler Rose are pleased to be recruiting for a Specialist Tax Advisor role with a well‑established accountancy practice in Chester. This role offers the chance to join a collaborative team and deliver a full range of tax services across companies, partnerships, trusts and individuals.

• Advising on and implementing corporate restructures for SMEs
• Advising on and implementing trust strategies for SME owners, property businesses and farms
• Advising on and implementing lifetime Inheritance Tax planning
• Advising on leaving and returning to the UK
• Patent box advice
• Planning, implementing and monitoring employee incentive schemes
• Dealing with consequent compliance and corporate filings
• Creating tax strategies for clients and planning their financial futures
• Carrying out detailed computations to calculate tax liability and advising on how to minimise a client's liability
• Establishing and structuring family trusts
• Estate planning and advising on tax residence and domicile matters
• Drafting of Wills and Power of Attorney documentation
• Providing guidance on indirect taxation issues such as VAT, customs planning and environmental taxes
• Producing reports and presentations for clients

• ATT or CTA qualified
• Excellent numeracy skills
• A logical and analytical mind
• The ability to interpret and explain complex legislation to non‑specialists
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Time management and the ability to work to tight deadlines
• Tact and discretion, as most of the work is confidential
• Commercial awareness
• A methodical approach to record keeping
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
