Compliance Officer, Finance & Banking

Job Description

This permanent role is part of the Operational Risk team and supports the administration and reporting functions, ensuring information is accessible, searchable and up-to-date.

• Assist with the management of the Compliance inbox, ensuring queries are directed to relevant individuals within agreed time frames.
• Assist with business queries on compliance/risk‑related matters.
• Contribute to ad‑hoc tasks and projects as required.
• Assist with applications to regulators, including supporting the Operational Risk Manager with obligations under SMCR.
• Collaborate with the wider Legal, Risk and Compliance teams as needed.

• Demonstrate understanding of regulatory frameworks relevant to the role and practise effective risk management with client outcomes in mind.
• Follow all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures, including FCA principles and internal Compliance Manual, local and Group policies.

• Keen attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately to tight deadlines.
• Team player with initiative and ability to work independently.
• Good communication skills.
• Willingness to learn new skills and tasks with a proactive attitude.
• Interest in building knowledge of Compliance within a financial advice and asset management firm.
• 1+ years of experience within a Compliance environment.
