Paraplanner IFA Practice £40K - £45K Basic Career Progression

Looking to develop your career as a Paraplanner within a successful and growing financial planning practice?

We're recruiting for a Paraplanner to join a highly successful and expanding firm in the Chester area. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced financial services professional to work within a supportive, collaborative environment alongside a team of experienced paraplanners and financial advisers.

The Role

As a Paraplanner, you will:

  • Provide technical support to Financial Advisers
  • Analyse clients' existing financial portfolios and prepare detailed reviews
  • Carry out complex financial calculations, including income tax, CGT, IHT, pension and allowance assessments
  • Research and help formulate suitable financial planning recommendations
  • Prepare full recommendation reports and supporting documentation
  • Liaise with product providers, account managers, and clients
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial products, markets, and regulations
  • Support advisers in delivering high-quality, compliant financial advice
Paraplanner Requirements
  • Previous experience within an IFA or financial planning practice (essential)
  • Strong analytical and numerical ability
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Methodical, professional, and client-focused approach
