Eventus Recruitment are seeking an IFA Administrator to join an independent, whole of market financial planning firm on the Wirral, Merseyside, with a route into paraplanning. This permanent, full-time IFA Administrator job pays £28,000 to £32,000 and is office based, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. The package includes a contributory matched pension with a 5% employer contribution, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, income protection, death in service and funded professional qualifications.
Covering the Wirral, Merseyside and the wider North West, it suits an administrator from a financial advice firm who wants high net worth casework and a firm prepared to invest in their development.
The IFA Administrator keeps the advice process moving for the adviser team and works closely with the paraplanners. Clients typically hold an average of around £500,000 of investable assets, and the advice covers pensions and retirement, investments, inheritance tax and business planning, so the casework is complex from the first week. As experience and qualifications build, the job takes on research and case preparation with the paraplanning team, which is the development route the firm would like the successful person to follow.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the advisers across the full advice process, from first meeting to implementation
- Submitting and tracking new business with providers through to completion
- Acting as first point of contact for providers and clients on queries and outstanding items
- Taking on research and case preparation alongside the paraplanning team as experience builds
- Preparing valuations and paperwork ahead of client review meetings
- Chasing outstanding requirements so cases keep moving
- Keeping client records accurate and files audit ready on the back office system
The successful IFA Administrator will already be working in administration within a financial advice firm, whether the current title is IFA administrator, financial planning administrator or client services administrator. The advice process, provider paperwork and back office systems should be familiar ground. The firm would ideally like to develop this person into paraplanning, coaching them through the technical work and funding the qualifications, though that ambition is not a requirement.
You should also be able to demonstrate the following:
- Administration experience within a financial advice or financial planning firm
- Working knowledge of pensions, investments and the new business process
- Ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise as work comes in
- Initiative in chasing outstanding items without being prompted
- Confident use of back office systems and provider portals
- Accuracy and attention to detail on client records and paperwork
- Clear, professional communication with clients, providers and advisers
- Discretion when handling confidential client information
- An interest in developing into paraplanning, though this is not essential
This IFA Administrator job pays £28,000 to £32,000 on a permanent, full-time basis, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, working from the office on the Wirral. Alongside the salary, the employer offers:
- Salary of £28,000 to £32,000 depending on experience
- Office based, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with flexibility
- Contributory matched pension scheme with a 5% employer contribution
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
- Death in service
- Income protection
- Funded professional qualifications and study support towards paraplanning
The employer is an independent, directly authorised financial planning firm, advising whole of market from its Wirral base for clients across Merseyside, Cheshire and the wider North West. It was founded by…
