Full‑time, permanent. Working hours 8:40 am to 5:40 pm, alternating weekly between Monday‑Friday and Tuesday‑Saturday shift patterns. Shifts are subject to change.
RequirementsFor this position you must be vaccinated against Hepatitis B or be able to receive it following a successful interview. An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check is required in line with Care Quality Commission guidelines. Candidates must have the legal right to work in the UK for a minimum of 12 months from the application date. Visa sponsorship is not offered.
Role OverviewThe Phlebotomist is responsible for ensuring customers have an excellent experience from the moment they enter our clinic, taking blood samples from both private and corporate clients. This varied role may also include the following responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive client appointments, including blood and urine sample collection, personal health measurements, and data entry into our Patient Information Systems (PIS).
- Demonstrate sensitive communication to ensure client understanding and consent.
- Maintain accurate records in PIS, uploading all relevant documentation.
- Represent the company professionally at offsite events and appointments.
- Engage in upselling and cross‑selling at our private health clinic.
- Proactively drive sales and exceed targets.
- Complete company forms, specimen labelling and laboratory test order forms accurately.
- Demonstrate high IT literacy to manage various software systems and daily tasks.
- Previous phlebotomy experience and certificate or equivalent training.
- Confidence using IT programmes.
- Flexibility with working hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by the business.
- Flexibility to work from offsite locations at least once per month.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.
- Experience in a private healthcare setting.
- Experience in customer service.
- Two years experience in phlebotomy.
- Sales or retail experience.
- Valid UK driving licence.
