Specialist Safeguarding Adult Practitioner
Working Full time: 37.5 hours per week We are looking for an enthusiastic highly motivated specialist practitioner for safeguarding adults with a vision to develop and maintain high standards of safeguarding practice across the organisation. The role requires the individual to have an in-depth knowledge of the Safeguarding Adult agenda with experience of working within a complex health or social care organisation.

The role requires the individual to have an in-depth knowledge of the Safeguarding Adult agenda with experience of working within a complex health or social care organisation.
The postholder must be able to demonstrate excellent clinical skills, be a caring and compassionate individual focused on providing excellent quality patient care, working within the values held by the Trust. The role involves working closely with the Named Professional for Adult Safeguarding and other professionals in the Safeguarding and Complex Care team. It involves multi-agency working with partner agencies such as the local authority;
experience of partner working would be useful. You will be required to provide safeguarding and MCA/DoLs advice as well as adhoc safeguarding supervision to staff and support in the preparation of written reports both in relation to formal adult protection procedures and for legal proceedings as well as attending safeguarding adult meetings, representing the Trust, and to deputise for the Named Professional as directed.
The Specialist Practitioner for Safeguarding Adults is available to provide expert advice and guidance to all Trust staff and promote best practice. The post holder will create an environment of continuous quality improvement and professional development to enable all staff to care for their patients with Safeguarding needs effectively.
The Trust’s services are provided from three locations:
- The Countess of Chester Hospital: providing 473 general and acute beds.
- Ellesmere Port Hospital: providing 60 beds as a rehabilitation, intermediate and outpatient facility.
- Tarporley War Memorial Hospital: a base for community services which serve the local rural population.
