Role Overview

A leading financial services organisation is seeking a highly technical Network Data Engineer to support large-scale enterprise network services within a regulated environment. This role sits within a senior engineering team responsible for core network infrastructure, security, and traffic flow across data centres and enterprise platforms.

This is a hands-on role for an engineer who can own work streams end-to-end, contribute to design decisions, and troubleshoot complex issues without relying on prescriptive runbooks. Project focus is a Skyhigh to Bluecoat migration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement and support enterprise network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, DC)
  • Own delivery of network changes from HLD/LLD through CAB and implementation
  • Troubleshoot complex Layer 2 / Layer 3 issues across large environments
  • Work closely with security and platform teams during infrastructure migrations
  • Support and integrate firewalls, load balancers, DNS and routing platforms
  • Participate in incident, problem and change management processes
  • Operate confidently in a highly regulated, large-scale enterprise environment
Required Technical Experience
  • CCNP or CCIE level networking experience
  • Strong routing and switching knowledge (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS)
  • Enterprise firewall experience (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Juniper SRX)
  • Load balancer exposure (F5 and/or AVI preferred)
  • Experience working with structured change control (ITIL / CAB)
  • Proven experience owning and delivering complex technical work
  • Financial services or large enterprise background
  • Exposure to network transformation or migration programmes
  • Experience supporting hybrid or multi-vendor environments
